What does Corban mean?
According to Mark 7:11, Coban can be interpreted as “Devoted to God as a gift”.  We believe each child is devoted to God as a gift and so here at Corban we are committed to excellence and the faithful pursuit of a student’s higher call.
What does an average academy day look like?
Students begin the day with setting personal goals for the day. Then we join together for morning prayer and pledges. The rest of the day is broken up in 45min - 1 hour blocks that include curriculum time, chapel, PE, and a variety of co-curricular options. Find out more HERE.
What are the academy hours?
The typical academy hours are 7:30am - 5pm. We understand the working family, so students can be dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 5pm.

What curriculum does Corban Academy use?
Corban Academy uses the A.C.E. (Accelerated Christian Education) curriculum. A.C.E. offers a biblically-based, self-paced education in both paper and electronic formats. 
Will students have homework?
Students set their own goals each day, and if students stay on task and achieve their set goals, they do not have homework. If students do not achieve their set goals for the day, they will need to finish their work at home and bring it back the next day with a signed homework slip. 
What is the adult-to-student ratio?
To keep a more individualized approach, the student-to-adult ratio is 2 adults present for every 35 students. 
Are all grades together in one classroom?
Corban Academy places students by learning level. Students who are in learning levels from second level through twelfth level will be in the same classroom, working independently on their materials. Students who are in learning levels in the Beginning-PACE program (K -1) will be in the same classroom, learning as a group through interactive lessons.   
What kinds of extracurricular activities are available for students?
Corban Academy’s main goal is to help students discover their calling and move forward in it. We provide students the opportunity to try different activities during the day. Co-curricular activities include but not limited to: home economics, arts, gardening, music, dance, practical skills, college and career, and everyday physical movement. 
How much does tuition cost for the year?
Tuition pricing depends on the age of the child. While our tuition is comparable to private schools in Kona, we do offer discounts and scholarships. Find our more HERE
What are the requirements for admission?
Applicants must be 5 years old at the time of academy year start date, exemplify a Christian lifestyle, and agree to Kona Faith Center’s Tenets of Faith. All applications are subject to Administrative approval.
